The Chevrolet Nova also called The Deuce Coupe or Chevy II

It was an American compact car introduced by the Chevrolet division of General Motors in 1962. Original Chevy had a unique body construction. It was powered by a OHV Inline four or six cylinder engine, it was available in two door and four door sedan configuration. It was also available in station wagon and convertible versions.

First Generation from 1962-1965

First generation cars included a 153 four cylinder engine and a 194 inline six cylinder engine. An Inline six cylinder engine was a third generation engine that replaced the second generation Stove bolt.

Second Generation from 1966 to 1967

The style of the old first generation model was changed in 1966, its engine options included six cylinder engines and V8 engines which were absent in older versions. They offered a torque of up to 350hp. The older versions Novas had less safety features but were totally changed in this generation. Safety mechanisms had energy absorbing steering Columns, safety wheels and soft interior parts that included armrests and sun visors. The Nova also had front shoulder belt anchors and panel knobs.

Third Generation from 1968 to 1974

In this model the station wagon and Sport Coupe were discontinued. It had a front sub frame assembled in well fashion.

Fourth and Fifth Generation

Fourth generation had only minor changes in the model and the fifth generation introduced front wheel sub compact vehicle. It had a 1.6 L 4 cylinder engine and was available in 5 speed manual and 3or4 speed auto transmissions.
