Ferrari- Designs Costly and Stylish Cars Every Year

Ferrari is an Italian sports car manufacturer based in Modena Italy. Enzo Ferrari founded this company in 1929. The symbol used on Ferrari cars is a black prancing stallion on a yellow shield. First ever Ferrari introduced road car was in the year 1947. This car was called the 1947 125 S. A 1.5L V12 engine powered it. Enzo designed these cars keeping in mind peoples comforts and they gained much popularity in the market. The Ferrari 166m was the first sports car that was driven by Luigi Chinetti in the year 1949 and he won championship of motorsports. Ferrari was the most dominating among the sports cars it won the Manufacturers Championship 7out of 9 times. Scuderia Ferrari was the first car that entered the Formula one and it won the title in 1951 in the British Grand Prix. A recent win was in 2007 by the same car.

Ferrari followed a 3 number scheme based on engine displacement. The V6 and V8 used total displacement for first two digits and number of cylinders as the third. V12 models used displacement in cubic meters. Flat 12 models used displacement in liters. Based on their body style some models were given designations. The M placed at the end of model number denotes modified version

· GTB ( Gran Turismo Berlinetta) models are closed Bernlinettas or coupes

· GTS (Grand Turismo Spyder) are open spyders

Current models are 2008 F2008, 2007 599 GTB fiorano, 2006 F430 GT, 2006 FXX. Ferrari is known for its power and style and stands at the top position.
